The FICAC case against a military officer on second-ment to the Department of Immigration was called before Magistrate Somaratne this morning.

Jone Ratunidawasamu Senibici was earlier charged with two (2) counts of Bribery contrary to Section 3 of the Prevention of Bribery Promulgation No. 12 of 2007.

Mr. Kitione Waqavonovono appeared for FICAC whilst Mr. Ravuniwa appeared as Defence Counsel for the Accused.

The Prosecution made an application in court to amend the charges and also informed court that 2nd phase disclosures had already been served to the Accused.

Defence Counsel informed Court that the Accused was ready to take his plea. Charges were read to the Accused and he pleaded not guilty on both counts.

Magistrate Somaratne adjourned the matter to 25th November for Pre Trial Conference.
