FICAC branches out

The Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption (FICAC) has opened a new office in the Western Division as a result of the expansion of its operations.

The expansion is a direct result of the increase in the demand of its services and the increase in the number of complaints lodged with the organisation.

This has seen FICAC further widening its scope of operations.

FICAC Head Mr George Langman believes that branching out into the Western and Northern Divisions is a step in the right direction and should help FICAC in its efforts towards combating corruption.

FICAC office in Western Division is located at Housing Authority Building, 12 Tavewa Avenue in Lautoka with an eight member staff headed by Mr Filimoni Daveta while the Northern Office is situated at Macuata Tikina Holdings Building, Siberia Road in Labasa with a seven member staff headed by Mr Paulo Tabacece.

The decentralisation of FICAC’s operations with offices in the Central, Northern and Western Divisions will ensure accessibility to members of the public.

Members of the public in these respective divisions will also find it convenient in terms of lodging complaints.

FICAC currently operates from its head office at the Corner of Kimberley and Gordon Street in Suva.
