FNPF and FHL cases adjourned

Two FICAC cases were heard in the Suva Magistrate court today:

These cases are on going and have been adjourned to 24th November for mention in the Suva Magistrate Court.

FNPF Case (Fraud by public officers) Olota Tulumani Rokovunisei and Foana Tukana Nemani, between July September of 2006, the above two while being employed as General Manager and Deputy General Manger of FNPF, respectively defrauded FNPF by authorizing payment of responsibility allowance to each other for the sum of $33,333.00 to Olota and $35,911.15 to Foana without authorization. The case was adjourned because the above stated pair did not appear in court today as they were not notified. FICAC will unsure that they receive notice for the next court mention.

Fijian Holdings Limited (Forgery) Sitiveni Weleilakeba, on 23rd October, 1992 intended to defraud the Registrar of Companies and the Shareholders of Fijian Holdings Limited forged a document namely the Special Resolution of the 7th Annual General Meeting of Fijian Holdings Limited dated 23/10/92. FICAC has asked for more time to reassess charges against Mr. Weleilakeba.
