Former Agriculture Officer Pleads Not Guilty

A former employee of the Ministry of Agriculture pleaded not guilty to seven (7) counts of corruption related offences in the Labasa Magistrate’s Court today.

Mr. Timoci Vakaboro was charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) in March with three (3) counts of Falsification of Documents and four (4) counts of General Dishonesty – Obtaining a Gain.

He denied falsifying receipt numbers and Subsistence Allowance and Travelling Expense Claim documents to obtain $2448.00 FJD, while working as an Agriculture Officer from September to October 2015.

The matter was adjourned to 4 December 2019 to set a hearing date.
