The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) filed an application to withdraw the case against the former Sun Insurance Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr. Lolesh Sharma was charged last June with one (1) count of Attempt to Undue Influence for allegedly attempting to interfere with the political rights of Sun Insurance employees in 2017.

FICAC State Counsel Mr. Sam Savumiramira informed the Court that the Accused has not yet been located and all attempts to find and serve him have failed. Due to this reason, prosecution could not be continued.

Resident Magistrate Ms. Waleen George granted the application and dismissed the case accordingly.
