A guilty plea was entered by the former acting Field Statistician of the Fiji Bureau of Statistics in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) charged Ms. Kelera Nokelevu in October with one (1) count each of “Obtaining a Financial Advantage” and “Using Forged Document”.

Ms. Nokelevu waived her right to counsel and informed the court that she was remorseful and regretful when pleading guilty to both counts.

Chief Magistrate Mr. Usaia Ratuvili adjourned the matter to 3 December 2018 for the Summary of Facts to be presented and Sentencing.
