Former Post Fiji Limited Employees Plead Not Guilty

Three (3) former employees of Post Fiji Limited pled Not Guilty to various corruption-related offences put to them at the Suva Magistrates Court today.


The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) had the accused people take their plea on the twelve (12) amended charges against Mr. Matorino Madogo, Mr. Kautanagauna Seaqaqa Raiqeu and Ms. Selita Nabori.


These charges ranged from “Conspiracy to Defraud – Causing a Loss”, “General Dishonesty – Causing a Loss” and alternative counts of “Theft”.


It is alleged that the three used false Telegraphic Money Orders to acquire a total of $193,419.70 between June and October 2010.


Resident Magistrate Mr. Asanga Bodaragama enquired whether any of the accused would be challenging their Caution Interviews, to which, it was confirmed that only Mr. Madogo would be challenging it.


The matter was adjourned to 16 October 2018 for the filing of Voir Dire grounds, with Bail for the three (3) being extended.
